[Event Planner]
[Certificate Program at BrainStation]
[Team Project]

Brief Summary

This is a group project I did during my UX Design Certificate course from BrainStation.

My role in this project was to spearhead and design the “Profile Setup” portion of the app our team is creating.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Quick familiarity and efficient collaboration with new peers

Ametros Learning:
Case Study

Jan 2025 - Apr 2025

[Case Study]
[Course Project at Toronto Metropolitan University]
[Pair Project]

Brief Summary

This case study is a stepping stone for a larger Industry Partnership Major Research Project (MRP) with Ametros Learning.

The MRP was created to address the issue in the current traditional education system that lacks personalization for a diverse range of students from having a skewed teacher to student ratio.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Designing with accessibility in mind (e.g., dark mode, text-to-speech)

  • Keeping users informed through visual cues (e.g., pop-ups, hover states)

  • Prioritizing mobile responsiveness for wider accessibility

  • Providing clear instructions during usability testing to gather deeper insights

Bridge Burma:
Career Page

Jul 2021 - Dec 2021

[Career Page Redesign]
[UI Internship Project]
[Solo Project]

Brief Summary

This is a solo project I did during my UI internship for Bridge Burma in which I was tasked to rework the company’s career page due to the career page lacking visuals that may attract potential interns.

Bridge Burma is a passion project created by a group of Burmese college students studying abroad who wanted to give back to their country, Myanmar, by offering mentorship programs and educational support for younger generations.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Workflow of a UX/UI project

  • Communication between different teams, such as the design team and the tech development team, of the company

  • Experience using Figma as a beginner

Zara Redesign

Sep 2024 - Dec 2024

[Interface Redesign]
[Course Project at Toronto Metropolitan University]
[Pair Project]

Brief Summary

We were tasked to perform a heuristic evaluation of a website of our choosing and come up with two key processes that we will be redesigning and user testing for the rest of the semester.

My partner and I split the workload by tackling one key process and I spearheaded the redesign and user testing for the key process of adding/removing items from Zara's shopping page.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Considering cross-platform shopping habits in user research

  • Applying Nielsen’s heuristics and Norman’s design principles

  • Prioritizing customer experience over stakeholder preferences in design decisions

Care Collab

March 2024

[Healthcare Communications]
[Designathon Project at University of Toronto]
[Team Project]

Brief Summary

My role in this project was taking charge as a project manager of the team, designating tasks to my teammates, and spearheading the creation of the wireframes before moving onto the prototype.

We decided to create an all-in-one healthcare messaging, referral, and booking app for small clinics for the Designathon competition that lasted roughly 24 hours.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Adapting to the fast pace of a UX design hackathon

  • Utilizing academic research instead of user interviews due to time constraints

  • Taking initiative in task management and team coordination

Huddle

Jan 2025 - Mar 2025

[Business Idea]
[Course Project at Toronto Metropolitan University]
[Team Project]

Brief Summary

We were tasked to brainstorm and discover a problem and instead of jumping straight to coming up with a solution, we had to test our assumptions to maximize business gains.

In other words, the intensive research of testing assumptions was to minimize time and resources wasted on creating a solution/product in which only a few, or none, would purchase.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Leading project management and scheduling across team phases

  • Improving user interview techniques and question design

  • Crafting clear value propositions and embracing early-stage business validation
